When it comes to choosing these LED lights, the first thing to take into account is where you would like the lights to go. Our recessed LED step light can be used either on the wall, more specifically, on the “tread”, in order to illuminate the stairs sideways or under the steps, this part is called the “riser” of the stairs, to give a direct lighting effect. You do not have to install a lot of lights on each step, but place them in a way that provides enough lighting to avoid dark spots. Please note that even though it does provide an overall illuminated appearance of your room, it does not produce a significant brightness change to your room.

Ideal color and brightness: With our round recessed step lights, whether you install them on the tread or riser, you will have a warm white light (3,000°K) which provides a soft golden hue, with a luminous flux of 10 lumens, this is an ideal luminous intensity to provide you with enough light for your steps but not enough to blind you or to be uncomfortable.

Low power consumption: It is well known that LEDs save more energy than traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs, with this 0.4W LED light, you can replace a 3.6W incandescent bulb, this means more possible light installation but with lower energy costs and a longer lifespan.

Waterproof: This round stair light has an ideal IP rating of IP65, it means you can stop worrying about any splashes or while you clean or wash your stairs, it gives you the right protection against water and dust. This also lets you use them on both indoor and outdoor stairs.

High quality LED: It has an SMD5050 LED chip, these chips are just barely behind the SMD3528 chips in popularity. However, 5050 chips are typically 3 times brighter than 3528 chips. Because they're brighter, LED strips or lights with 5050 chips are typically used for what is known as 'task lighting', and commonly used underneath kitchen cabinets where that high-intensity light will help you see what you're doing.
