E27 Bulbs, otherwise known as Edison Screw bulbs, (also known as an Edison screw or ES for short), is a perfect direct replacement for existing halogen or incandescent bulbs giving that LED lighting is the most energy-efficient type of lighting by far. LED bulbs to last up to 50 times longer too and offer up to 90% savings on energy costs against your existing bulbs.

Traditionally, when buying halogen lights, everyone is used to thinking of brightness in terms of wattage (the higher the wattage, the higher the brightness), however, with E27 LED bulbs, and actually for all LEDs, the lumens are the key spec instead of wattage. This is due because, unlike halogens, LEDs use the majority of the power (wattage) for light, rather than losing much of it to heat.

Highlights:

enlightened High efficiency and brightness: The combination of high-performance LEDs (SMD2835) ensures a uniformly illuminated light emission. Our LED cool white (6,500°K), E27 bulb with a total brightness of 800lm and a good color rendering index (CRI >80) also contributes to positive room appearances. Both aspects create pleasant room atmospheres.

enlightened Ideal beam angle: Our E27 light bulb has a 200° beam angle, ideal for large spaces. A beam angle is measured in degrees, as a tip, we’d advise using wider beam angles to cover more space with light, ideal for living spaces where many people are gathered around. On the other hand, narrow beam angles, are often used for decorative purposes or areas where you need focus. If you´re not sure about the ideal light bulb you need, please contact our free tech support team.

enlightened Resistance & Durability: The design of our cool white (6.500°K) E27 LED Bulb is resistant to the effects of impacts and vibrations, adding durability to withstand conditions that would cause a normal incandescent bulb to fail. The overall dimensions of the LED bulbs are the same as a standard A19 incandescent lamp, and the base is made of aluminum for durability and resistance to rust and corrosion.

enlightened Resistance & Durability: The design of our E26 LED Bulb is resistant to the effects of impacts and vibrations, adding durability to withstand conditions that would cause a normal incandescent bulb to fail. The overall dimensions of the LED bulb are the same as a standard A19/A60 light bulb, and the base is made of aluminum for durability and resistance to rust and corrosion.

enlightened Easy to Use: The E26 base is the same screw-in base as the standard light bulb in the US and the E27 standard for Europe. You can use this LED light bulb in a standard lamp in your home.

enlightened Long Lifespan & Energy Savings: Our E26 LED light bulb can provide additional safety measures and time-saving, given the low heat production and that it does not require replacing for 15,000 hours.

The number following the E indicates the size in mm of the external thread screw. Thus an E26 has a 26 mm base diameter. There are four commonly used thread size groups for lamps:

  • Candelabra: E12 North America, E11 in Europe
  • Intermediate: E17 North America, E14 (Small ES, SES) in Europe
  • Medium or standard: E26 (MES) in North America, E27 (ES) in Europe
  • Mogul: E39 North America, E40 (Goliath ES) in Europe.

What does A19 or bulbs with an A designation mean? The “A type” describes a bulb that has a pear-like shape. The number that follows the "A" within the A series is the width of the bulb in one-eighth inch units or in millimeters.

The most commonly known A-series light bulb type is the A19 bulb (or its metric/IEC equivalent, the A60 bulb) which is 2 3⁄8 inches (60 mm) wide at its widest point and approximately 2 3⁄8 inches (6cm) in length. This is the classic shape that most are used to when shopping for a "Light Bulb".
